Bountiful Basket promotes health conscious and environmentally friendly living while supporting small, local producers. We deliver baskets of pre-selected seasonal produce and other healthy, locally produced goods to either your home or office located in central Kampala every Monday and/or Friday.

Meet Sandie - Owner of Bountiful Basket

 

I'm a mother of two beautiful girls, Antonia and Zoya,  and blessed to have a fiancé and partner, Alex with whom I share a passion for farming. We practice small scale farming which we love very much because besides helping with the monthly bills, it gives us an opportunity to spend more time together.scale farming. We currently have an apiary (that's where the honey in your baskets comes from), grow oyster mushrooms in our backyard, rear turkeys and grow some vegetables. I love farming as it gives me time to bond with my girls.

Bountiful Basket was my best friend Lee's idea. Lee met a boy back in the USA and ran away from Uganda (story for another day) and that's how I got to be in charge of this growing business. Truth is, I was tired of being employed and was trying to figure out what to do with all the free time I had (between the farming and a newborn baby). The original idea was a weekly delivery on Monday mornings but we are in the midst of creating a more flexible delivery routine that can hopefully suit everyone.
